The Pytes V5 LFP Battery is an innovative lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery designed for optimal home energy storage. Featuring a safe, high-performance 51.2V, 100Ah capacity that delivers 5.12kWh of energy, this compact and maintenance-free battery bank is ideal for a range of applications from residential to industrial systems. The battery is easy to install, requires no upkeep, and supports parallel assembly for expanded capacity. Its key features include a self-heating function to facilitate charging in cold climates and a robust 100A maximum continuous charge/discharge rate. Up to 16 batteries can be stacked without the need for a Pytes Energy Hub.

Integrated Heating in Pytes V5 - Here’s how it functions: The battery’s heating system is solely powered by the charging source, such as an inverter or charge controller, consuming up to 180W per battery. It efficiently heats the battery at a rate of up to 10°C per hour within an operational range of -4°F to 50°F (-20°C to 10°C). The heating initiates when temperatures drop below 41°F (5°C), raising the temperature to 50°F (10°C). For temperatures between 35°F and 41°F (2°C and 5°C), the heater activates and charges simultaneously until it reaches 50°F, then ceases heating while continuing to charge. Below 35°F (<2°C), heating takes precedence until the battery warms above 41°F, after which it resumes normal charging. This system does not impact the battery’s state of charge (SOC).

The V5 battery requires 4U or 7" of space for each unit to ensure proper busing and adequate cooling. For instance, installing three batteries would necessitate a 12U server rack.

The new V5° lithium phosphate battery is the latest in home energy storage and the next generation after the venerable E-BOX-48100R model. The V5 provides a safe, well-designed, and high-performing battery bank solution. The battery pack is compact, easy to install, maintenance-free, and can be assembled in parallel when adding more capacity. It has wide applications including residential, small commercial, industrial, and telecom systems.

The big brother to the E-BOX-48100R LFP Battery, the new V5° LiFePO4 battery also provides self-heating that auto starts in cold environments and facilitates charging below freezing temperatures. The new V5° LiFePO4 battery also has a higher 100A Maximum Continuous Charge/Discharge rate.

  • Built in 320A fuse into each V5 battery
  • The built-in heating pad automatically activates when the BMS senses that the ambient cell temperature falls below 41°F. The heating pad will remain on until the temperature reaches 50°F. The heating pad will not work in temperatures below -4°F. If auto activation of the heating pad does not result in a change in temperature after 30 minutes, an alarm will trigger.
  • With the optional WiFi Dongle, you can have real-time monitoring, remote upgrading, and alarm notification of your battery bank system on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone.

  • Can I mix the PYTES V5° battery with the PYTES E-BOX-48100R battery in the same battery bank?
    No, these batteries cannot be mixed in the same battery bank. They would have to be separate battery banks.
  • How fast does the heater work?
    The temperature rises an average of 10 degrees per hour after the internal heating pad is turned on.
  • How much power does the internal heating pad use?
    The built-in heating pad uses 170W of power while in use.
